(1) Steve Irwin, also known as “The Crocodile Hunter,” died at the age of 44 doing what he loved. (2) He became world famous for being both a wildlife activist and conservationist. (3) The Crocodile Hunter -- a documentary-style television show about Irwin and his wife, Terri -- became a hit largely because of Steve’s energetic personality and courage. (4) Irwin was well known for protecting and educating people about wildlife. (5) Irwin, mostly because of his parents, began protecting wildlife as a child. (6) Irwin became known as an expert on endangered wildlife. (7) He wowed the audience with his dangerous stunts, some of which were criticized. (8) While snorkeling, Irwin died after being stung by a stingray’s poisonous barb. (9) Irwin will always be remembered for what he loved to do.
